In general the products do their function, the app could use some improvements, on their GUI and it would be great if it was part of the Apple HomeKit. The phone should let people have two way calls when away from the wifi.

The camera recording list does NOT have any preview or thumbnail pictures so its really difficult to go through the footage quickly because for each recording youll have to spend at least 30secs downloading the video file before you can watch it. Itll take forever if you need to find something without knowing the exact time stamp.

Nice looking hardware. The software just flat out does not work most of the time.

Remote access is not working at all. The device could not discover UPNP in my router while all my other devices have no issues with my modem. I have tried port forwarding and it does not work as well. This application is very slow and pointless.

1 star because it barely functions correctly. Other times it stays on the loading screen, nothing is selectable, voicemails cant be deleted... Horrible. I wish I could return my Panasonic cameras. I do not recommend anyone to buy any Panasonic product that relies on this app.

In general Im pretty pleased. I setup the home network with 4 cams and some leak detection devices. There is 1 flaw - when setting the record, i would like to record for 10-15 minutes but get a 10 second preview without having to download the entire video to my phone for monitoring. I would like to have high sensitivity and allow quick deletion of false motion activation. Cameras are not HD- and i knew that going into this, works well for my need - i do however wish i didnt need to download entire videos to review. 2 simple solutions - allow a preview (10 sec would do it) or allow multiple recordings lomg and short. Overall a decent system with an obvious defect in usage gui.

This app kills the battery (it uses about 45% of power compare to all other apps). Poor logic of program.

All of the issues from my previous review have been fixed. Smart Control can have multible devices start cameras and power outlets. They can be enabled/disabled by any combination of Arm home, Arm away, or Disarmed. I recieved a firmware update today and once it completed all of the fixes worked and the apps UI now makes sense. The Wifi and Cellular connections work great. Notifications work like they should. Apparantly there is now a Siren and Water detector available, but I dont see it online yet. Very pleased.

Ive updated this review to reflect software and firmware changes. The companion app for the Panasonic Home Monitor hardware is decent. Remotely connecting to the system is an exercise in patience as all connections route through their cloud but it has improved greatly over the past few months. The programming logic has improved greatly over the original version. Now, multiple layers of scenarios can be enabled. The app continues to lack persistence. It will always return to the home page and restart the linking process. There should be a way for it to stay direct connected for short period of time and to remember where you left off.

No joke, this system is great! Im a skeptical person about stuff like this, but I must say this works! Too fun controllability and options. Panasonic thought through the setup and control work flow. I dont want to over sell but Im very impressed about how well the hub based management system works. I spent a few hundred on the home security hardware options and Im so happy, wife too! I like all of the mobile control options. Enough said. After your first camera you will only want to add more to your control. Denverite

Stopped working after update. You need to have the option of turning off the lights on the camera at night to stop the reflection. Option to turn off motion sensor when you disarm system. Option to flip image upside down when hanging camera upside down.

So far so good. The entire idea and system is awesome. I agree the setup time is a bit long and you just need to be patient through it. If youre patient, everything will work flawlessly. The alerts and alarms for motion and sound is perfect for baby monitoring. I hope they continue to update the app and features because it still needs things added and fixed but Im sure all that is coming. One thing I am puzzled about is accuracy of the thermometer. The camera shows about a 5 degree difference (higher) than two other thermometers in the babys room. Not sure which one to trust and if its Panasonics issue then I wonder if theyd replace it or fix it.

If you have IOS 9 installed, don’t waste your time. Completely non-functional at this time (reported to Apple; waiting for a fix). App shuffles between first two “Welcome” screens @ once per second. Completely cannot set up. Panasonic Support assured me they/Apple will be working to bring app up-to-speed. (I don’t really hate it, as the one-star rating describes; just can’t use it at this time),

App is okay in iOS 8 but streaming video from the camera no longer works after upgrading to iOS 9. Needs an update quickly otherwise it looses important security functionality.

About half the time I try to access my cameras or arm and disarm the system, I get an error message (E5-06).

Please update the app so that more than one Hub/System can be monitored. Why put that kind of limitation into the app? If someone wants to get another system they cant monitor it.

I would like the option to be able to record for more than 15 minutes. I would also like to be able to log in faster. The app takes too long and I cant disarm fast enough to get the alarm to stop ringing.

When I try to access camera from out side of home network, it does not work at all. I always getting “Connection unsuccessful” error, even though I have strong wifi connection or LTE. This is useless….

Panasonic Please fix the battery problem .
